Topic: medieval alchemists postulated that the homunculus could be created , possibly with bodily fluids, definitely with heat applied. The potter's wheel sits below the potter, with plenty of opportunity for their/her/his body minutae - skin cells, hair bits, dribble, tears - to mix in with the clay before it is heated by the kiln. In this way, theoretical inroads allow for the potential of a homunculus in mundane ceramic applications. There are probably other methods, but this principle likely extends to any artistic medium where heat is applied and the workspace is below the artist - electronic circuits, hot-glue-pasta-sculptures.... et cetera.
